Prague
St Vitus Cathedral
Prague has been on my list for a long time now. I probably should have done a little more planning but spontaneity often leads to good outcomes. I booked my flight at 3pm on a Friday afternoon and took off 6 hours later that evening.
Charles Bridge
I landed at midnight on Friday and long story short, the night ended with me walking back to my hotel across the Charles Bridge at 5am on Saturday morning after having left a night club. It was a lot less busy than the picture above (taken from the tower during the afternoon). It was just me, some fondling couples and your local friendly drug dealers.
Name a tourist destination and the chances are that I walked it. I walked the whole city. The cobbled streets and historic architecture are simply stunning and I walked for hours.
Castle guard
a church in the main castle complex that dates back to the 10th century.
I met up with Jana and Radka who I met back in London when they were studying English. Jana (above), just graduated and so we went out for some traditional Czech food, beer and an interesting pear shot.
Another friend (Kristina), also lives in Prague and so Sunday lunch was more Czech food. She's a smart one, and so we spent the next couple of hours walking around an old castle talking about life.
